E26d Gauge for Testing Contact-Making in Lampholders 7006-25J-1

The form of the screw thread shall be in accordance with the dimensions shown on sheet 7004-21A. The gauge shall be made of metal with the exception of the insulated handle at the top. The sharp part of the edge of the thread at the underside of the gauge shall be broken with a radius of approximately 0,5 mm.

PURPOSE: To check lampholders E26 for contact-making.

TESTING: When the gauge has been fully screwed into the holder, the indicator lamp, shown in the test circuit shall light.

In this position there shall be a clearance* between the gauge and the upper edge of the lampholder, if the lampholder is made of ceramic or other material that may scratch the glass bulb.

* This clearance may be verified by the use of a feeler gauge 0,05 mm (0,002 in) thick and 3,18 mm (0,125 in) wide.
