E26d Plug Gauge for Testing Protection Against Accidental Contact in Lampholder 7006-29J-1

(1) The thread of the gauge si made in accordance with the maximum dimensions of the cap on a finished lamp, subject to a tolerance of +0.0mm -0.03mm.

See sheet 7004-21A.

PURPOSE: To test protection against accidental contact of the cap of a lamp fully screwed home in the lampholder.

TESTING: With the switch open, the gauge is screwed tinto the lampholder as far as it will go. The test contact is then slid as far as it will penetrate into the lampholder . In this position none of the indicator lamps shall light.

NOTE: If, as in some countries, it is required to check the protection against accidental contact with the cap during insertion of a lamp, the test method should be as follows:
With the switch closed, the gauge is screwed into the lampholder until one of the indicator lamps lights.

The switch is then opened and the test contact is slid as far as it will penetrate into the lampholder.

In this position none of the indicator lamps shall light.
